What makes a translation certified in the US
The United States has no federal licence for translators of general documents. A translation becomes certified when the translation company or translator signs a statement confirming that the translation is complete and accurate and that they are competent to translate between the two languages.
Some receiving institutions ask for more: a notarized certification, a translation of every stamp and handwritten note, or a certified translation of a document that has itself been apostilled. Tell us who will receive the documents and we prepare the translation to match their requirements.
How we work
Every certified translation is produced by a professional translator working into their native language and checked by a second linguist before certification. Layout follows the original so that officials can compare page by page, and seals, signatures and marginal notes are translated or described.
