Why a fresh certified copy matters
Many foreign authorities, and most apostille offices, will only accept a recently issued certified copy signed by a current official. Older copies or copies signed by officials no longer on file are a frequent cause of rejection.
What we need from you
Eligibility rules differ by record and by state. Vital records are usually restricted to the person named on the record, close family or an authorized representative, so we may ask for a signed authorization and a copy of your ID.
